Father's Day Gift Ideas
Father's Day is coming up in just a few weeks... Time to start brainstorming! I don't know about you, but my dad is one of the hardest people to shop for! I really think that he goes out and buys anything he needs just before any gift giving holiday just to further challenge us. Also, my dad's birthday lands right around Father's Day so I really have my work cut out for me. Here are a few ideas I've come up with that you might like to use for you Dad :) BUT keep in mind, time spent with him is always more valuable and appreciated then a gift ever could be.

The Best Curling Iron
I really didn't want to like, let alone love, the T3 curling iron and wand. It is pricier then most curling irons out there. I love following out bloggers and I noticed a serious trend of all of them using and recommending the T3. They aren’t sponsored posts either, which says even more. What I love about the T3 brand of curling irons and wands is that you purchase one base (which is what is plugged into the power source) and can change in and out what size barrel or style wand you want to use that day. When I curl my hair using the T3 my curls literally last up to 3 days! I only wash my hair every few days because it is healthy to not wash your hair too often. Natural oils will keep your hair healthy and shiny! I’ve uploaded pictures from right after I curled my hair, second day, and third day (brushed out) so you can see how well it works. Do note that I put my hair up with an crock clip when I slept to help preserve the curls. You don’t even notice it and I think I actually prefer sleeping like that now. I find that I am using the 1.25” curling iron most. It gives more of a finished look since it curls the ends. When I want a beachy and relaxed look I love the tapered barrel. Do be sure to use a heat protectant because this iron gets HOT. Warning, you will fall in love with this interchangeable curling iron and wands and the beautiful hair it creates!
Just curled!
Just woke up, Day 2 curls, unbrushed
Day 3 brushed curls

Back In Stock!
These amazing gladiator Valentino dupes are finally back in stock! I have one in each color and love them. So so so much better on my back account! They look great in person as well. I found going a half size up was more comfortable for me, just FYI. Happy Shopping!!!
Light Therapy Mask by Illu Mask
I bought these IlluMask's several months ago and some how got out of my routine of using them. I'm so glad I rediscovered them in my closet! I really love using these. I bought both the one for acne and the one for anti-aging. Sometimes I forget which is which so I just make a point to switch back and forth between the two different masks. They have a timer for 15 minute sessions. I unfortunately still get hormonal acne, so mama needs it all!
You can't beat IlluMask's price point. It is $29.99 for the mask and battery pack/ remote that allows you to use it 30 times before needing to buy a new remote. This is where they ensure they can continue to make money after the initial purchase. But if you search online, some people have found a way to reset the remote and continue their use, since the bulbs themselves last a very very long time.
When I'm consistently using my mask, I really do notice a difference in my acne bumps, as well as a difference in the leftover discoloration from my acne bumps. My skin just looks better in a way creams and scrubs won't change it. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to use those creams and scrubs too! But its nice to relax with my mask on, for 15 minutes, before then going on with my day.
Books To Read
I don't know about you, but I sometimes have trouble finding books that actually catch and keep my attention, so I'm always on the hunt. I recently saw a preview for a movie coming out in June called "Me Before You" and learned it was based on a book. I went to Amazon and saw that this book had almost 12,000 reviews and had almost 5 stars! So obviously I decided to order it. Yesterday was overcast and cold so I spent the entire day in bed reading my new book it was so good. I think my butt started to fall asleep from being so stationary from being so into reading my new find. I highly recommend "Me Before You" and can't wait to move on to the sequel "After You" once I'm done.
Cooper thought it was a great read too. Just look how enthusiastic he was about it!
Gift Idea's For Mother's Day
Our moms have done so many amazing and wonderful things for us, for years. Be sure to pamper her on her special day <3
Healthy "Pancakes"
I LOVE these healthy "pancakes" for breakfast. They are particularly perfect when you have extra ripe bananas that are about to go bad. The ingredients are...
1 ripe banana
2 eggs
pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Mash up the banana. Add the 2 eggs and mix it all together really well. Now you treat it just like regular pancakes! Pour it into a pan, I like smaller sized blobs. I find that much easier to flip when you start seeing bubbles. After you've made the pancakes, garnish with greek yogurt, raspberries, and some honey. Such a delicious healthy breakfast that gives you protein and fruit! Yum!
J. Crew Sale
I love shopping when there is a sale going on! It makes me feel not so guilty! J.Crew has some great staples and fun jewelry. Here are some items currently in my cart.
Monday Inspiration: Pants!
Monday is here whether I'm ready for it or not! I think I need a little early-in-the-week-pick-me-up in the form of a clothing delivery! lol Here are some of my favorite "positive pants" that make my rear look positively A-OK!
Review: Atlanta Trip
My brilliant and hard working hubby had a work trip to Atlanta last week and I got to tag along. It was my first time being in Atlanta (besides the airport). My wonder mother and father-in-law drove in to join us for a few days. It was wonderful having people to explore with while the hubs was busy. I absolutely loved exploring the city and the delicious southern food. First Nashville, now this, I have been eating far too well lately! Haha Here are some of the places we explored and places we ate! For being there for an entire week, I didn't take nearly enough photos...
South City Kitchen- I highly, highly recommend this place. We went for dinner and everything we had was absolutely delicious! I had the friend green tomatoes as an app, the friend chicken as my entree, and the pineapple upside down cake for dessert.
Two Urban Licks-This place is tucked away but sure seemed to be a hot spot! Great drinks and apps. I enjoyed our entree but it still didn't compare to South City Kitchen. Super cool atmosphere though. I think that is one of the main draws. On a funny note, I matched the wait staff in my chambray top and black pants, lol
Max's Coal Oven Pizza- Tasty pizza and walking distance to the Georgia Aquarium and Coca Cola Factory, which was perfect for us. Perfect casual lunch or dinner spot.
The Vortex- Holy huge burger, Batman! So many burger options. I definitely enjoyed my "Greasy Spoon" burger.
Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken- I've become a friend chicken connoisseur over the last few weeks. This place didn't even come close. I'd skip it next time around.
Flying Biscuit- This place had soooooo many reviews and was pretty busy for a mid-week morning. I didn't understand the hype. My omelet was an omelet...
Egg Harbor Cafe- This place actually did a great job with breakfast. They have a huge menu of options to pick from. My eggs were perfect cooked, not too much, not too little.
Georgia Aquarium- My favorite part of the aquarium were the dolphin and sea lion shows! I always enjoy exploring any aquarium or zoo.
Coca Cola Factory- I really enjoyed exploring the coke factory with my in-laws! I'm not a big soda drinker, but I was on this day! They have a room with coke products from around the world that you can sample!! "Beverly" from Italy was about the most disgusting, horrible, bizarre one I tried. Do people really drink that in Italy?!? The "candied pine nut" drink from Uganda was so sugary and delicious! There were a lot of great flavors to try. I don't think I spent nearly enough time in this room on the tour.
Atlanta Braves Game- This was a great night! My father-in-law enjoys a good baseball game and so do I! We ate generous hotdogs and followed them with deep fried funnel cake. Thats what you do in the south, right???!!! ;)
